Your tankless water heater has two filters. The first is a water filter. This filter helps to eliminate minerals from hard water. If your home has hard water, it has more minerals than normal. The filter helps to block these minerals from getting into the tankless water heater. However, as these minerals fill up in the filter they can block water flow. You need to remove this filter a couple of times per year, rinse it out, and replace it. Otherwise, you may notice lower pressure when you use hot water.
